about

who
we are
We are a local, home-grown business whose mission is to help people brew their very own kombucha right at home!

We carefully curate easy starter kits with step-by-step instructions in order to make brewing your own 'booch fun and easy!

When we first tried kombucha for ourselves, we realised that everyone had their own preferences for flavours and kombucha strength.
And so we thought, wouldn't it be great if everyone could make their own?

So we said goodbye to expensive, store-bought kombucha and started creating our very own kombucha!

what is kombucha?
it's a refreshing, fizzy tea made by fermenting tea, sugar and probiotics!
Thought to have originated from China over 2000 years ago, this fermented tea is made by adding a colony of live bacteria and yeast - otherwise known as a SCOBY! (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast)

In order to create kombucha, we need to first ferment the tea with the SCOBY. During this process, the yeast in the SCOBY actually helps to break down the sugar in the tea, and release friendly probiotic bacteria!
During the fermentation process, the tea becomes carbonated as well - giving the kombucha that distinct, refreshing, fizzy taste!

why should i
brew my own?
1. Price - "I'd love to be able to drink kombucha everyday, but it's not the most affordable drink for daily consumption."
We all love our kombucha for its taste, and more importantly its health benefits, but getting store-bought kombucha every day of the week is going to cost you!
As kombucha lovers ourselves, The Kombucha Party seeks to provide you with a high quality brew kit to guide you on creating your endless supply of kombucha.
2. Sugar - "I know that the probiotics are good for me, but is the sugar content high in kombucha?"
Depending on the brand, one serving of kombucha can contain as much as 28g of sugar, which is almost our recommended daily intake.
Brewing your own kombucha allows you to control its sugar content, and find your ideal sweet spot.
3. Preference - "I've bought kombucha that was too sweet for me, and others that were too tarty. It's difficult to find one that matches my sweet spot."
Just like wine, beer or coffee, we all have our preferences. Brewing your own kombucha allows you to customise every aspect of your kombucha, and provides you the flexibility of flavouring with your favourite fruits & herbs.
